Training Success - March 2015
Hunt Corp Industries LLC recently helped train 48 residents of Akron, Ohio get certificates for a
five-week program aimed at providing Akron residents with knowledge and skills to prepare them to enter apprenticeships with local trade unions.
Robert Hunt was the trainer and his topics were "How to work with others/Communicating on the job" and "Sensitivity Professional Training." Hunt said being able to work with and communicate with others is one of the best life skills a person can develop. This training will show that someone who can effectively communicate thoughts, ideas, and feelings is better equipped for success on the job. This training will also show that effective communication is much more than being able to talk; it is also the ability to listen and understand others, to "read" and interpret body language and to know the best ways to get your points across.
Hunt also talked about "Sensitivity Professional Training." He said in this course the Pre-Apprentice participants developed a sensitive awareness and understanding of themselves and of their relationships with others. This was accomplished through the participants understanding and identifying various topics such as, "Harassment/Sexual Harassment, Discrimination, Conflict Resolution, Work Requirement & Cultural Diversity.
